Copy to
desktop directions: Student One Stop Holt Pre-Algebra (For Windows XP Home or
Pro Edition)
- Open a CD or DVD drive on your PC and place the disk
in
- If the disk opens on its own, close the window
- Open “My Computer”
- Click on the CD or DVD folder ( it should say “Pre-Algebra_Stud”)
- There should be four icons: two folders ( “data”,
“html”), a word file(“copyrights_licenses”) & a shortcut (Internet Explorer
or your default internet browser) to Student One-Stop
- Go to the “edit” pull down menu and choose the “select
all” option—all icons should become highlighted
- Right click on the highlighted icons and choose “copy”
- Go to the desktop ( or wherever you would like the
folder to reside ), right click, choose “new” and then “folder”
- Name the folder “Pre-Algebra Text” ( or whatever you
would like to call it )
- Now click on the new folder and open it
- Once you are in the folder, right click and choose
“paste” –the files and folders should then copy to the new folder
- Test the links by clicking on them; The internet one
should take you to a website, the data one to more folders and nested
Acrobat icons, including one titled “student_edition”-- this is the
textbook!
- Take out the disk, place it in the case and return it
to Mr. Mechalke
